My first attempt at realism!
This is Tarja, the ex-lead singer of Nightwish. I can't find any mistake, but somehow, It doesn't look much like her to me. Tell me if you can find what I am so blatantly missing. Used 3B pencil.. putty eraser.. Staples pink eraser, and long cotton swabs. xD Then I darkened it in photoshop and put it in grayscale. Original picture found here.. [link] |

now, remember, this is constructive critisism.
i think her eyes are too big. Tarja has small to medium sized eyes. the perspective is very good!
her jaw is a little too tilted and pointed. she has a very level jaw.
those are the only really obvious things i see!
and all i can say about realism is that it takes lots and lots of practice, so keep up the good work!
